Day 47

Sea Day. A.K.A. Zzz Day. So…New Year’s Eve. Happy Birthday Jeremy! Today started with a breakfast, a plan, “a nickel and a wish”*. We were going to have dinner with Sveta at 8:30. This would be after our VIP party chat and after the Band on the Run show that Sveta would be seeing. The first sea day is usually sea food/lobster in all the restaurants in one form or another. Sveta loves her some lobster. Last time we went to Tsar’s Palace and we were going to go there again. They didn’t take a reservation from us…they said to just show up. It was packed because of NYE. We weren’t to upset because we also found out it wasn’t sea food night. Oh well.

We then watched Band on the Run, but from further back. Normally we sit in the front or up in the closest balcony booth. I caught two of the JARs looking up into the booth expecting to see us. Keeva saw us later on, so our presence didn’t go undetected. We met with them up on the pool deck for the countdown. So, there will be a lot of pics of JARs on the flickr come Friday.

On a totally separate note, they switched up the movies that cycle on the movie channels a couple cruises ago. For the worse, I think. A lot of sappy romance right now. No Reservations is the one that pops in my head because it is on right now. My other option is some Richard Gere/Winona Ryder flick…August in New York or something like that. Other crap includes The Invisible, High School Musical 2, and more. One movie that has grown on me is Hot Rod with Andy Samberg (burg?) from SNL. Seeing it in pieces made it go from terrible to funny. There are a lot of little cheesy moments in it that make me laugh more than they probably should. I recommend renting it and watching it three times for full effect.
