This, dear friends, is a Lupine (LOO-PIN). One of my favorite Monty Python sketches was about Dennis Moore the Lupin Bandit. You can read about it here...or at least listen to the song.
Lupines are everywhere in Maine. I guess they grow like crazy. More on Lupines.

They grow right next to my house, but my mom still goes out and buys them for 5 dollars a bundle. I think they are good-looking, and nice photo.
