2 Days Until 5 Weeks Until We Leave...also GENIUS!

Today is Saturday...Movers come on Monday morning at 8:30am to move our stuff into storage.

One very nice thing about working on the NCL cruise ships for Second City is you learn to live in effectively a New York studio. Sure, you have the whole ship to enjoy...pretend that is the city of New York. But your living space is enough room for a bed, a little table to be used as possibly a desk, a bunch of shelves, a closet, and a bathroom. Tiny.

As a recap for those who haven't been following since way back, Deanna and I left last winter around 11/15...our landlord would only let us extend our lease to 9/30 so we stayed with awesome friends Joey and Heather. This meant putting most of our stuff in storage. We paired down a little, but most everything went in. Over the 4 months on the ship we learned to live out of 2 suitcases. We came back and stayed with our friend Rene, finally deciding to find an apartment. When we moved in even the movers said "you guys have a lot of stuff."

We got rid of a bunch of stuff, and now that we're going out again we're getting rid of more. Our goal was getting rid of our couch, bed, and TV...three bulky items. Couch is gone. Bed will be gone within the hour...still have the TV. Want to buy it? 32" Sony Trinitron KV-32S42. Contact me.

So we'll be moving in with Rene and staying with him until 10/25 when the grand journey begins.

In other news. If you use an iPod you should really update your iTunes application. Genius is the best. Genius shows you a list of your songs...you choose a song and puts together a playlist of 25, 50, or 100 songs that go well with that song. So far, it is right. "Why would they make an application like that?" Well, it's cool...but another thing it does in iTunes is recommend songs that you're missing that would go well with it. So that is probably their financial angle. I love it. I highly recommend it if you haven't used it yet.
